    Its not. You can edit the xml locally and then send it, but it's not a web tool

    We do support Spoon in Java Webstart. As such you can fire Spoon over the web.

    1. Download or check out the source code
    2. Change web/spoon.jnlp to match your own webserver
    3. run "ant webstart"
    4. either deploy the kettle.war file on your container or extract the war file to the correct location on your webserver.

    Done.

    In these steps

    1. Download or check out the source code
    2. Change web/spoon.jnlp to match your own webserver
    3. run "ant webstart"
    4. either deploy the kettle.war file on your container or extract the war file to the correct location on your webserver.

    The step number 2 says to change web/spoon.jnlp. i didn't found any thing related to web server configuration in this file, can you please explain this.

    JNLP is a very clearly documented spec. However, this is the line you need to change:

    Code:
    <jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="http://localhost:8080/kettle" href="spoon.jnlp">
    The codebase changes if you deploy it on a server.
    So you change it to:

    Code:
    <jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="http://vinod-his-server.com:8080/kettle" href="spoon.jnlp">

    Only if you want to run on version 3.
    Other things that might need adjustment (certainly in version 2) are the libraries that are included.
    Make sure that all the libraries specified in the .jnlp file exist.

    The "webstart" ant target automatically signs the jar files.
    If you want to add others, make sure they are signed with the same key.
