Post Virtual cube based on cubes sourced from different data sources

I need to integrate two cubes, which are based on two separate relational databases without copying the data between the DBs. I need to integrate the two cubes into a third virtual cube.

Is it possible to define a Mondrian schema, which contains cubes based on different instances of relational databases?

For example, if I have a datamart in DB1 and a datamart in DB2, can I build a single Mondrian schema, which contains two cubes - one built on top of the data mart in DB1, the other one built on top of the data mart located in DB2?

Looking at the documentation it seems that a Mondrian schema can only be built on top of a single data source. Is this the case? If yes, is there any way to link two schemas based on two data sources into a third one? Similar to the "linked cube" feature in Microsoft Analysis Services?

I will appreciate any tip as to how to integrate two cubes into a third virtual cube when the data sources for the two cubes are not located in the same DB.

    Thanks,
    Vassil
