    Good news :-)
Matt, why do you need to go on with 2.5.x?
    Why not switching to 3.x?
I thought that 2.5.2 were the last one.

    Thanks

    Hi Samatar,

There will be a group of people/businesses that will stay on 2.5.x for a while
for various reasons such as porting fears, stability fears, large install
base, etc. There have been hundreds of thousands of downloads of the 2.x
series. It seems only fair to support those for a while longer.
I want to let this version die off naturally.

Obviously, Pentaho support will support all versions for 3 years so we're
making it easier for them as well by fixing the most annoying bugs in 2.5.2.

Around version 3.0.1/3.0.2 I would releae 2.5.3 and call it a day though.
We're talking about 4-5 months extra tops.

    HTH,

    Matt

There are people that try to jump from the highest point release of
version x to the first point release of version x+1 hoping to miss the
biggest problems of x+1 original release... if I would not be involved
in PDI I would try to jump from 2.5.3 to 3.0.1 Most companies
making software products do this... Microsoft e.g. will release
fixpack 3 of XP probably right before the first fix version of Vista.

    Regards,
    Sven
