Thread: Microsoft Access ODBC Slow

    Default Microsoft Access ODBC Slow

Hi, is there an option within the database connection for a Microsoft Access ODBC that might speed up inserts?

Inserting data into an Access table is torture. I've tried to use the "Access Output" step but when the option to "create database" is unchecked and the option to "create table" is checked, kettle seems to forget and actually unchecks the option to "create table". Also, leaving both options unchecked is just as slow as using a "Table Output" step with an ODBC connection to Microsoft Access.

    Thanks,
    miland

For the "unchecks create table" raise a defect at http://jira.pentaho.org/browse/PDI

For the slowness, I don't know I mostly use Oracle and DB2.

    Regards,
    Sven
