    Default HTTP authentication

    Hi,

I have a file that I am trying to download via HTTPS - The URL has an authentication !!

I wrote the full url on the job, but I get an error: Server returned HTTP respoonse code:401.

It means that the authentication is not working properly.

    What should i do ?

    Adi.

    Hi Matt,

I put exactly this address but i get the same error:

I was unable to save the HTTP result to file because of an I
/O error ... server returned HTTP response 401

Do i have another option to write the URL ?

    Thanks,Adi.

My guess is that you need to include a header in your request named Authorization as explained in Basic access authentication. Unfortunately, this might involve coding if the job does not support the the addition of the Authorization header or arbitrary headers in general.
