userguide is in the docs\english directory of Kettle.

    To install Kettle 3.0GA:
    - Make sure you have Sun JDK 5 installed
    - Download the .zip file
    - Unzip the file keeping directory structure.
    - Run spoon.bat for windows, spoon.sh for unix systems

Using windows you can also download the installer executable and use that.

    Sven

    Good afternoon,

Kettle already installed in XP, but now in Windows Vista Generated the following error: "Could not find the main class.Program will exit", it`s executing spoon.bat.

Already review the MVJ (Virtual Machine of Java) and have version is 6.0. What may be..?

    Thank you.

    Two things:

    1) Assuming it's windows... it's somewhere under x:\Documents and Settings\your_id\Local Settings\Temp

where x: is the drive lette of "documents and settings" and your_id is your logon id for windows

    2) remove in spoon.bat the "start" from one of the last lines and put a pause at the end of the script.... If you then strat spoon you will see some more information.

    Regards,
    Sven
