Default data type error in 3.0.0.GA

I have a transformation that works fine with 2.5.n, but failes on a text output file step with the following error in 3.0.0.GA:

ConvToKG Integer: There was a data type error: the data type of java.lang.Double object [0.0] does not correspond to value meta [Integer]

ConvToKG is the field name, and is defined as type integer in all the steps that use it.

    Any ideas, or suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Lindsay

Here it is, and I have deleted over half the steps in the transformation and it still fails.

    Hi Linsay,

You need to specify a decimal point (. in your case) and a grouping symbol (, in your case).
Otherwise we'll take the default from your system and that default is depending on the locale your computer is running on.
In the States (.) for example it's different from Europe (,).
I don't know the settings in NZ but it's safer to specify them in every case. Otherwise you run the risk of getting into trouble once you deploy on a server with different settings for example.

I also don't think that this is a v2-v3 problem as that behavior hasn't really changed.

    All the best,

    Matt

Sorry, I checked again, there is an issue.
It seems some kind of problem in the "Split Field" steps. I think the order of the fields is somehow wrong.

To try our bug fix, download these 2 libraries and place them into the lib/ directory

Thanks for the tip on the separators and decimals. In my case, the app is being developed in NZ and deployed in Australia. Both use the same settings as the US.

Also thanks for the super quick identification of the bug and resolution!
