Thread: Using Try-Catch in an xaction file

Question Using Try-Catch in an xaction file

    Greetings!

I was just wondering whether 'Try-Catch' is supported in an xaction file using javascript as a Process Action. I was trying to use this to catch an error where the executed SQL query doesn't return any recordset.

As far as I've observed, an empty recordset/query_result creates an error when used in charts. So I tried to check the query_result and trap it if it doesn't return any record, before using it in the chart to prevent the IndexOutOfBoundsException error from being displayed.

I hope someone has a solution for this problem. Regards!

    Hi,

you can use the if-statemnet and see if query_result.getRowCount() >0
