Default PDI 3.0.0 Error reading a transformation from the repository

    Hi all,
I'm using PDI 3.0.0 with a MySQL repository on the local host. I have the following error when I start spoon. The error is the following:

An error occured reading a transformation from the repository

Unexpected error reading step information from the repository

Error loading condition from the repository (id_condition=6)

Error loading condition from the repository (id_condition=8)

Unable to load Value from repository with id_value=3

Unexpected conversion error while converting value [constant String] to an Integer

constant String : couldn't convert String to Integer
    Unparseable number: "1"

    Any help?
    Thanks in advance!

It was an undetected bug in 3.0.0GA. We're lining up an update (3.0.1) at the end of next week.
Do me a favor and see if this patch fixes it...

Put these jar files in the lib/ directory:

    http://kettle3.s3.amazonaws.com/kettle-engine-3.0.jar
    http://kettle3.s3.amazonaws.com/kettle-ui-swt-3.0.jar

Please let me know if this problem goes away, otherwise I'll fix it for good ;-)

    All the best,

    Matt

I replaced the jar files with the ones in the links u sent. Now spoon starts without problem, but when I try to open one of my transformations I see the error again.

    Note:
    - before replacing the jar files with the new ones I see the error message when i'm launching spoon.
    - in the repository there are many transformations and only one is not working (I couldn't open it!). when i try to open it i see this error:
    - the problem occurs only in the case that the transformation contains many transformations (at least in my case)
An error occured reading a transformation from the repository

Unexpected error reading step information from the repository

Error loading condition from the repository (id_condition=6)

Error loading condition from the repository (id_condition=8)

Unable to load Value from repository with id_value=3

Unexpected conversion error while converting value [constant String] to an Integer

constant String : couldn't convert String to Integer
    Unparseable number: "1"

    Thanks in advance!

I updated the libs for bug report http://jira.pentaho.org/browse/PDI-522

Can you try again? We should be able to fix this.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Hi, i got the same error message but when i executed a transformation (with many transformations, as hammamr said) that uses a filter stage.

i thought that maybe this same patch could apply to my problem, so i download it and placed it in the lib directory.

Now, when i open spoon the following error appears:

Se ha producido un error leyendo una transformación del catálogo

Error desconocido leyendo información del paso del catálogo

Error loading condition from the repository (id_condition=2)

Unable to load Value from repository with id_value=2

Unexpected conversion error while converting value [constant String] to an Integer

constant String : couldn't convert String to Integer
    Unparseable number: " 1"

This did not appeared before (when starting spoon) so i had to return to the previous 3.0.0 version.

After recreating (step by step and executing every step), my transformation with the filter stage, it worked. Which is weird because its exactly the same as it was when the error message appeared

Do you still have the original transformation, we would be interested in getting that one if after importing in a repository it consistently shows the same problem.

    Regards,
    Sven
