    Default Problems with INNER JOIN

while using pentaho data integration v3.0.0 we experienced some problems with executing an inner join using 2 diffrent tables.

we are using a ms sql server as database and are testing our sql-statements on that plattform before using them in spoon. the results by the sql-server are allways diffrent from the results that spoon offers. we tested 3 diffrent combinations of joining tables , but spoon seems to lose rows while sql-server still has that rows in its result.

did anyone experience a kind of that problem and may can help? i followed some threads in the history, but did not find help about this topic.

Try one of the nightly builds ftp://download.pentaho.org/client/pe...a-integration/ something was changed with regards to joins not so long ago.

Nothing seems wrong with inner joins, there was only a reported (and solved) problem with outer joins.

we are executing a merge inner join with 2 tables. the number of resulting rows is less than the sql-server provides. we tried a work around by executing a sql-script that inserts the result of the inner join directly into a table. this affords the correct number of rows. but i think its not the right way to work around the merge function if its integrated in pdi

Doing an inner join is not that complex. Just make sure the 2 data streams are sorted (ascending) on the join keys.
