    Default Logging XMLA Messages

Is it possible to configure the pentaho server to output XMLA requests and responses from Mondrian? I have tried changing the jboss-log4j.xml file, but this hasn't worked for me.

I have since sorted out my logging problem by using Apache's TCP Tunnel/Monitor to sniff the SOAP messges.

Thanks for the feedback - can you give some more details how you did that? I think a lot of people would like to do that.

    I sure can, Julian

I ran Apache's TCP Tunnel/Monitor, download this from:

    Run this monitor as follows:

    java -classpath soap.jar
    80 localhost 8080

In the above example, the monitor listens on port 80 and fowards all requests to localhost:8080 (where I'm assuming the Mondrian XMLA server is). In this example, you would also change your XMLA client to connect to localhost:80 You should then see the XMLA messages exchanged between client and server.

    Hope this is of use,
