Thread: Using Kettle 3.0.1 runtime engine as a service

Default Using Kettle 3.0.1 runtime engine as a service

Hi - currently have an adapter to Kettle 2.5.2 that allows jobs to be initiated through a service. I have just downloaded Kettle 3.0.1 as my understanding is that the UI (tooling) has been separated from the runtime engine.
    1. What jar's comprise the runtime engine?
    2. I noticed spring-core. How is it used by Kettle
    3. Is there any documentation on what has changed internally and how to provide an adapter?
    Thanks.

kettle-engine-3.0.jar under lib, but you still need any other jar file from the libext directory of the functionality you're using of course.

To do some tricky class loading stuff which was not possible otherwise according to some people

    3. Is there any documentation on what has changed internally and how to provide an adapter?
