    Default PDF export

    Hi everybody,

I wonder if it's possible to export to a PDF file a report with a Google Map inside.

Many thanks in advance for your answers,

    Axel

No, GoogleMaps is a AJAX application so it requires a full scaled browser to run and render correctly. There are little to no chances that this will be achievable in any future version of any reporting tool.

To make a GIS application work in our reporting engine, the application must either be able to save its maps as image (so that we can render it with the reporting engine) or it must provide a Java-API that is able to render itself to a Swing-Component (in that case we can create some nice looking vector image reports out of it). There are plenty of commercial and open-source GIS tools available, like OpenStreetmap.org or OpenMap.org which provide Java-Renderers that can be used in our reporting engine.
