    Default Excel Numbers 1000 Separator

    Dear all,

I am reading from an Excel file a column which contains numbers (e.g. 123456) as well as strings (e.g. n/a).

I want to insert this into MsAccess.

The format of the field in Kettle is "string".

My problem is, that Kettle adds a 1000 separator and thus converts the 123456 to 123.456. I do not want the "dot".

I formatted the field in Excel to String, Number and General, but with no effect.

Can someone help me on this?

    Cheers

    Torsten

In Kettle set a conversion mask or possibly make group separator empty

    Regards,

    Thanks Sven,

I set the format in the excel input to "#" and now it works.
