Default Fail on Copy Files 3.0.1

I am happy to have Copy Files now in Version 3.
I want now cancel a job if Copy Files copies nothing. How can I do this?

    Many thanks

    Hi Volker,
When you say, copies nothing, you mean :
    - fail (in that case, the job will fail)
    - no files to copy (nothing to do now)

    Both.

The important thing is 'no files to copy'. If this happens my job has to stop, because nothing is to do. I have deleted the target directory and the job is always running, also copy job fails cause of non existing target directory.

As further information I am copying Files like *.dat, 1 to many files.

The important thing is 'no files to copy'.
--> At this time, the job will fail if we got at least one ERROR in copy file process!
If evry thing works fine (no files situation included), the result will be true.

I am sure that we can improse and make "customisable" the result.

fails cause of non existing target directory.
--> That's true, non existing destination folder is not considered as error :-)

    Dear Samatar,

thanks for this answer. But can you give me a hint how to create a workaround to check a directory if there is a file before I start copying process.

I have created a tranformation and put in get filenames. Than I created a group by and got a count of files. But then? How to stop process if count is NULL or less than 1.

    Many regards

Use JS as a job entry to evaluate your result. See this tip for an example how to do it.

    Dear Ben,

thanks fpr your reply. This was the hint I was looking for. It works now. More pratical would be to have some more oppotunities to set prarameters and errors in "Copy Files" Job directly.
