Dear Kettle devs,

As part of JIRA case PDI-841 ( http://jira.pentaho.org/browse/PDI-841 ) I'm
doing some re-factoring of the kettle trunk codebase.

The idea is to split of a kettle-core part that will contain the basic stuff
like RowMeta, ValueMeta, DatabaseMeta, Database etc.

That way, we can aim for greater and easier re-use of that core block. I'm
almost done with the change. This is a heads up for that and also for the
fact that you now need to change some classpaths here and there.
Not just because you need to include an extra jar file in your Kettle
applications, but also because I'm excluding the version number from the jar
files. This is following an unanimous decision made at the last Pentaho Dev
Summit. The actual version information is contained in the jar files'
manifest.

All the best,

Matt
