    Default Data Source information for cube designer

    Hello,

    I have deployed mondrian with derby in Tomcat. Everything works fine. It is no problem to see the mondrian examples.

    Now I want test the cube designer. For adding a new cube schema the following informations for the data source are nessacary.

    JNDI Nane
    Driver
    Connection String
    Username
    Password

    In the web.config there is the parameter connectString with the following value
    Provider=mondrian;Jdbc='jdbc:derby:classpath:/foodmart';Catalog=/WEB-INF/queries/FoodMart.xml;JdbcDrivers=org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver;JdbcUser=sa;JdbcPassword=sa;PoolNeeded=false;

    So I have used the following information in the cube Designer

    JNDI Nane = mondrian
    Driver = org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver
    Connection String = jdbc:derby:classpath:/foodmart
    Username = sa
    Password = sa

    But if I test the connection I get the following error:

    An error occured. The message returned was org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver

    Where is my mistake?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Best regards

    well for starters I don't think the Derby connector is distrubuted with cubedesigner
    You need to put the jar in lib/jdbc/

    Hi,

    thank you for your fast answer. I have copied the derby.jar in \lib\jdbc. Then I have restarted the cubeDesigner.
    But I get the some error.

    Is their an other problem?

    Best regard
