Thread: XML Input issue

  1. #1

    Smile XML Input issue

I can get it to read the first location (REF_00) but not any of the other locations.
I created a seperate transformation for the 2nd location (REF_21) but it keeps stating that no rows are found.
    Any insight would be appreciated.
    KTR's and XML attached.
I'm a rookie with this XML stuff so bare with me

I'm "pro" the get xml data step in 3.1 ... the other xml steps are somewhat limited in what kind of XML they can process.

Default now...Get the data from XML issue

I'm using 3.1 and switch the transformations to use the get the data from XML but now neither work.
    At least now it's consistent

First have a look at the examples on get XML data in the samples directory of your installation.

If you still can't get it to work come back

    I'm back !
Believe it or not but I actually looked there first before I did the post.
It looks fairly simple which makes me believe that the format of the XML file is unusual/incorrect.

    Question

Well the transformation runs successfully but the results is not what I'm looking for.
How can I extract just a single Xpath node like REF_21 ?
It looks like your method gives me all or nothing.
I modifed what you sent me several ways to exclude the unwanted elements but always get the infamous "Field [unit_node] couldn't be found in the input stream!".
    I'm using version 3.1.0-M1...is that okay ?
