JDBC issue

Using Mondrian Schema Workbench. When I create a new schema the application tries to load ALL the tables in ALL the schemas of my database (an AS400 database) even if I specified a connection URL with a specific schema to connect to.

Doing that the application gets stucked for more tha 15 minutes... How can I do?

I m not sure but u can try creating a JNDI resource which uses the DSN for ODBC

i feel this should work as the DSN is meant for one specific connection which is configured for a single (db)schema .
plz do let me know if this works

HI!! i wanted to connect to oracle but keeps on getting
Error: ConnectFactory.ERROR_0001 - Database connection could not be established to: null jdbcracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe - java.lang.NullPointerException (org.pentaho.platform.plugin.action.sql.SQLLookupRule)

I dont know what i should do to solve this.
i am using the following parameter for my action sequence to get data from relational:

JDBC Driver-- oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Database URL-- jdbcracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe
Username: system
Password: password

The driver i downloaded are ojdbc14.jar and ojdbc14_g.jar
Where should i place these 2 files to work?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the solution to ur problem
But try putting your jar's over here

ojdbc14.jar and ojdbc14_g.jar


1)At Pentaho Installed Path

\pentaho\bi-server\jboss\server\default\lib
2)At Pentaho Installed Path
\pentaho\report-designer\lib\jdbc
3)At Pentaho Installed Path

\pentaho\metadata-editor\libext\JDBC


Question For u

R u able to connect to Oracle Using Report Designer and browse the database

If yes then u need to configure the JNDI after successful publish of Reports
