    Default kettle.properties

I've used the kettle.properties file with spoon sucessfully, but i'm having trouble using with kitchen.sh on unix/linux box (variables not being translated in the job). I was wonder if the kitchen script actually read this file automatically and sets the variables or do i need to create transform to read my variables? Is there sometype setup need so the kettle.properties will be read on a kitchen run? From docs/ & posts. i'm putting the file in $HOME/.kettle directory.
    thanks for any insight

It should be process automatically... move your .kettle directory aside and start spoon. A base "configuration" should then be created.

    Regards,
