    Default Schema duplication in RC1

    Hello,

    I've been using DI at v3.0.2 with good luck. Today I grabbed 3.1.0-RC1 and got the following error:

    2008/08/25 13:24:27 - PERSON Load Control.0 - ERROR (version 3.1.0-RC1, build 771 from 2008/07/08 11:57:00) : INSERT INTO MM048323."MM048323.PERSON_ETL_LOAD_CTL" (PERS_<snip>

    It appears that for some reason the schema name has been duplicated when specifying the fully qualified table name.

    Again, works as is in 3.0.2.

    I'm using the Native(JDBC) driver for AS/400.

    Did something change that I'm not finding the in release notes?

    Chris

    Very strange, can you post the XML for the PERSON Load Control step (copy/paste) or the transformation?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Default XML for Table Output

    I have specified MM048323 as both the database name in the connection (it is required?) as well as the schema name. Again, this worked as-is in 3.0.2.

    XML for table output step follows:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <transformation-steps>
    <steps>
    <step>
    <name>PERSON Load Control</name>
    <type>TableOutput</type>
    <description/>
    <distribute>Y</distribute>
    <copies>1</copies>
    <partitioning>
    <method>none</method>
    <schema_name/>
    </partitioning>
    <connection>DEVL</connection>
    <schema>MM048323</schema>
    <table>PERSON_ETL_LOAD_CTL</table>
    <commit>100</commit>
    <truncate>N</truncate>
    <ignore_errors>N</ignore_errors>
    <use_batch>Y</use_batch>
    <partitioning_enabled>N</partitioning_enabled>
    <partitioning_field/>
    <partitioning_daily>N</partitioning_daily>
    <partitioning_monthly>Y</partitioning_monthly>
    <tablename_in_field>N</tablename_in_field>
    <tablename_field/>
    <tablename_in_table>Y</tablename_in_table>
    <return_keys>N</return_keys>
    <return_field/>
    <cluster_schema/>
    <remotesteps> <input> </input> <output> </output> </remotesteps> <GUI>
    <xloc>960</xloc>
    <yloc>180</yloc>
    <draw>Y</draw>
    </GUI>
    </step>

    </steps>
    <order>
    </order>
    <notepads>
    </notepads>
    </transformation-steps>

    XML for CONNECTION:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <connection>
    <name>DEVL</name>
    <server>MMSIDEVL</server>
    <type>AS/400</type>
    <access>Native</access>
    <database>MM048323</database>
    <port/>
    <username>M048323</username>

    Sorry, I can't confirm this problem in the latest code or during tests.
    Can you download a nightly build to see if the issue is still current?

    ftp://download.pentaho.org/client/da...gration/3.1.0/

    If it is, please file a bug report ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    I got same problem with a Postgre server and 3.1 RC1.
    My workaround is to use schemaname.tablename as name for table and leave schema empty.

    I just tested pg & I don't see any issues in the latest builds.

    Hi Matt,

    I often read here "fixed in latest builds". What about providing a second RC? Latest one is from 9th of July, more than 6 weeks ago. And road map for 3.1 names July 31.
    ... just a suggestion.

    We have nightly builds and a GA coming up in a week or so. If that's not enough, nothing is.

    Matt
