    Default Error running spoon.sh

    Hi,

I am a newbie. After downloading Kettle , I changed the permission for shell file and invoked spoon.sh.

    I get the following error:

    clear02% ksh spoon.sh

I get the same error for both version 3.0 and version 3.0.4.

Same error with JDK version 1.5 and 1.6 .

    You're running X11? ... if not, that's your problem.

Solaris is a server platform, I wouldn't run any GUI on it but that's just me.

    Default Pentaho on Solaris

    Hi Matt,
We have our DW on Sun Solaris (x86). If we deploy Pentaho on it, how can we bring up the UI on another machine and execute Pentaho jobs on the Solaris m/c? When I try spoon.sh on solaris (x86, Java 1.6), I get the error

    "
    ERROR 31-12 14:56:02,660 - Spoon - Fatal error : java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-motif-3346 or swt-motif in swt.library.path, java.library.path or the jar file

I tried echoing lib path etc and swt.jar is very much there in that path. Anything else I need to do to get this working?

    ksh -x spoon.sh gives me
    + uname -s
    + LIBPATH=./libswt/solaris/

    + export LIBPATH
    + [ ./libswt/solaris/ != NONE ]
    + find ./libswt/solaris/ -name *.jar
