Question Can I set a default directory?

I'm running on Linux and I want to know if I can set a default directory for the app.

My problem: PDI is set up in one directory, but my transformations and jobs are stored in another. Every time I hit Open or Save, the dialog defaults to my installation directory. I want it to open to my save directory. We are not using a repository here yet.

Is there a setting I'm missing? I tried setting up a desktop icon with the Work Path defined as my save directory, but that didn't work.

    Any help would be great!

I figured out the same and I have raised http://jira.pentaho.com/browse/PDI-1438
It is distressing that only none-Windows users are affected... and I think it very easy to fix this.

Please vote for this in JIRA!

It think it was deprecated in the SWT codebase because it was once in there.
Anyway, it should be easy to fix.
