Stop posting those URLs... if you want to, you can attach what you want to show to this forum

    sorry for the disturb :-)

I'm accustomed of Usenet, and this service is very usefull to transfer files via a chanel which does not allow that
on top of that, i had to upload each file only one time, and then give the link to everybody

why is it annoying for the users of this forum ?

i don't see how to do that
can you be more explicit, please ? :-)

I can't even open them our spam filter blocks free.fr for good reason.

    Scroll down -> manage attachments

It looks like some kind of spamming... everytime you reply you use the dl.free.fr service ... if it looks like a spammer, acts like a spammer, ...

At best the URL's you use will expire in 30 days, and then you have a forum full of useless URL's or URL's pointing to something not intended. So it's better to upload the files you have to this forum.

Post a reply... press the green button "Manage attachments" and you can upload relevant files.

    Regards,
    Sven

P.S. I also took the liberty of blocking some of your URLs

    thank you :-)

when i try to make the attachments manager load the file from dl.free.fr, it says "invalid file"
is it because of your spam filter ?

Download the file to your local machine... and attach it from your local machine... the file will be physically saved at pentaho.

    ah, curious
i didn't know that spammers made web pages on free.fr

but, since there is a lot of real web sites on free.fr, why not filter by sub-domain rather than filter all free.fr ?

Download the file to your local machine... and attach it from your local machine... the file will be physically saved at pentaho.
it was already on my local machine, but it would be easier to use the link :-)

(i saved files in the 1st msg)

If 50% of the stuff on there is spamming, illegal trades, ... it's easier to kill it off completely

For the transformation... you do have to fill in the dialogs of course... PDI is not yet that good at mind reading. Specifically you have to enter the element the step needs to loop through.

Attached a changed example... using get data from xml step.

thank you for the example, it works :-)

but i don't understand anything about your explanation :
    what is PDI ?
how to determine the elements the step needs to loop through ?
    what's that loop ?

well, there is probably a doc to explain all of that,
where and how could i find it, please ? :-)
