    Default ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException when cloning rows

    Morning

I have a transform that was working fine, however I needed to keep a log of the files that it was working on and the path so I added an extra step to write the file names out to a text file. (See the attached example)

However when I do that I get the following exception:
    Code:
    2009/04/07 09:23:10 - Dummy (do nothing).0 - ERROR (version 3.1.0, build 826 from 2008/09/30 12:32:36) : Unexpected error :

As you can see in the screen shot I have added a dummy step when making the copy stream, how ever I have tried this with out the step as well, just splitting directly from the "Get files from result" step, but it throws the same exception on the "Get Files From Result" step instead.

Any one have any idea what I could have done wrong here to cause this? I have managed to copy rows to several steps many times before (even in the same transform) but for some reason this one does not want to work. is there some thing about the data that comes out of a "Get files from result" step?

    Any help would be welcome

    Verify your transformation.

If that doesn't show anything try to simplify your transformation until we can run it on our own, and you can raise a JIRA.

    Thanks for the hint Sven

Got two Errors showing up in the verify thing:
    Code:
[4 - Error] read in file
Step is connected to previous one, receiving 7 fields
[4 - Error] read in file
Step is receiving info from other steps.
However I get these both with the log step and with out. I guess they are to do with the CSV input step not expecting any data to be passed into it. It does work however and the options change when I pass in the data for the file name.

I have created a very simple job that converts a CSV file to an excel file that throws the error I was getting. I'll raise a jira for this shortly.

Ok Raised in jira: PDI-2257 If I have just been stupid in the creation of my test case let me know, but it shows the same error.
