    Question Fixed file input

It is possible to use the Step "Fixed file input" with a list of names of files?
Today we make a combination between "Get filename" with "Text file input"

    regards,

    Concon

Sorry Concon, don't think anyone asked for it so far.

For my problem I solved using a routine job of drawing 2 conversions and one receiving a parameter, as my files are in fixed amounts every month I have 14 files to be processed.
In the first you see the attached drawing routine created a Get File Names to recover the position of the file name passed as parameter and defines a variable called filename, the second call he performs the processing of the file using the variable.
That and repeated 14 times, because of the fixed amount of files that have to process.

Thank you for the quick response!
But this actually does not solve my problem, since I do not know how many files I have to process in one job.
I know how to get the filename(s) dynamically and use a variable in FixedFileInput, but this does not work for multiple files, either.

    Any suggestions?

    Thx, Ulf

    Ulf,

really do not know you could say that a routine use to a process of 'n' files. The ideal would be to know the exact amount of files to be processed for the solution that you did.
For this case of 'n' files could open a Jira Issue in calling for a new implementation for this step, where he accepted 'n' files using the process' Get filenames'. This solution exists for the step "Text file input '.

Yes, filing a JIRA for this would be a great next step.
The change is not earth shattering since "Fixed Input" and "CSV Input" are very similar.

Jira created in an application for improvement to the steps and "Fixed Input" and "CSV Input" for integration with the step "Get file names".

Fixed Input - Integration step "Get file names"

CSV Input - Integration step "Get file names"

FYI, "CSV Input" can already process/read multiple files. Simply give the step filenames as input and you'll see.
