Default invoke a .bat from kettle transformation

    Hi All,

I have a java program which triggers a transformation by passing an input file name. But now, I will have to make the input file to pass thru a .bat program to get it gpg-decrypted to be transformed.

Can I invoke a .bat file stored somewhere on my server(from spoon?) to pass this input file and then use that resulting file in the rest steps of my transformation?

    thanks

Wouldn't it be great if something like that existed?

    Thanks MattCasters,

I just realized that Kettle 3.1 has something called SSH2 Get. Does this support pgp decryption? If it does can you show an example.

eg. I want to do a sftp get of a xxxfile.pgp(I should be able to specify the filename from an external variable from Java) and after decrypt how can I pass the decrypted xxxfile to the next step in the transformation?

In a 2nd note, How to pass a variable fileName argument to the Shell Job-step.

    Thanks
