Default On-Error Event Handler in transformations

    Challenge:

Trapping errors in an event handler in kettle-spoon, and performing add'l steps WITHOUT defining error flow at each and every step.

    Question:

Does Kettle have an event handler, accessible in the UI of Spoon, which traps any "on error" event, and captures the relevent error info, such that additional transformation steps can be embeded in the event handler to do database logging, ect, just prior to the error event propogating up?

So no... some steps can have error handling activated, but it's on a step basis.

You can wrap something in job and do transformation wide error handling, but you can't access the details of the error.

    Regards,

Sorry - I have a hard time beleiving that when a transformation errors, and returns to the job, that the job would not have access to specific erorr information. I have seen erorr codes - I just do not know how to retrieve them in the job, once the transformation completes. No offense - just would not believe that.
