Default Using a variable in a query condition

I am new to Pentaho and like to know how to write a query condition that uses a variable in a Salesforce Input step.

Also how do I pass a value to that query from an HTTP request from Salesforce? Is this possible? Does Pentaho accesspt HTTP requests?

Thanks so much to whoever can provide assistance.

    Hi,

salesforceInput step support variables so you have just to 'insert' you variable (${VAR}) in criteria area.

Default Passing a value to a parameter from an HTTP post

Thank you, I was trying to use "?" but couldn't get it work.

Can I pass a value to the ${VAR} parameter from an HTTP Post request? What transformation step should I use to accept an HTTP request?

First use ''get variable'' steps to resolve variable and put it in a field.
Second use the field in Http argument.

It seems that I have to use Carte to be able to initiate the PDI job. I'll read up on Carte and will create another thread if I have other questions.

Thanks for your help. The ${var} works as you suggested.
