Default Use of bind variables in queries generated via metadata?

    Hi,

Are there any plans to make queries generated from metadata ( using waqr or whatever ) use bind variables?

I see a jira about repository queries that should be using bind variables, but thats in PDI, so i presume completely unrelated?

    (we're an Oracle shop)

Actually ; Ignore this; I'm now told this would be a bad idea! Time to read up a bit on this topic i think!

    Thanks,
    Dan

Do you mean prepared statements? (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/ap...Statement.html) In the next release of the BI Platform, the Metadata Query BI Component will support passing in parameters through JDBC. They'll be configurable in our dashboard designer, and also when defining individual action sequences.
