Thread: JRE Fatal Error (SIGSEGV)

    Exclamation JRE Fatal Error (SIGSEGV)

I am getting pretty consistent JRE fatal errors when running transformations. Keep in mind that these transformations have run for months without error on other servers. Also, the crash always occurs when dealing with the same database table. The column is a MySQL VARCHAR (utf8_unicode_ci) column with a URL in it. I have tried changing JVM (amd64, x86, 1.5, 1.6), but the crash is still randomly occurring. I think there must be some sort of invalid data in the column, but I don't know how to go about finding it. The error is below and I will attach the error report also.

    Code:
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (14.0-b16 mixed mode linux-amd64 )
    # Problematic frame:
    # J java.util.HashMap.putAll(Ljava/util/Map;)V
    #
    # An error report file with more information is saved as:
    # Kettle-3.2.0/hs_err_pid15116.log
    #

Looking at the trace the problem is probably the URL, but I have no idea how to fix it in PDI. This is the JVM blowing up in strange ways.

What trace do you get with a Sun JDK 1.5?

    Regards,
    Sven
