    Default labels values based on query

    heey again

    is it possible in pentaho report to hide or display labels based on a query ???

    for example if i have query and i have a condition in where clause , and if it is true display a label or change text displayed in the label

    iam just asking , i don't know is it possible or not, and i hope it is possible

    Hiding is possible via a style-expression on the "visible" style-key. Your expression must return "TRUE" of the label is to be shown, or false otherwise.

    Changing the text of a label is not possible in PRD-3.0 or earlier and not recommended for Citrus-PRD (but possible via an attribute-expression on the "core:value" attribute. If you want to have text displayed based on a certain condition, the recommended way is to use a ordinary "string-field" with a value-expression.
