    Default Problem with Active directory(LDAP) configuration with pentaho

    Hi,

    I have Ldap windows 2003 vm, login userid = Administrator and pwd = test123,

    I tried to configure the ldap but I am getting bad credentials exception,I am attaching my log file and applicationContext-acegi-security-ldap and applicationContext-acegi-security,

    I have two groups BISERVERADMINS and COMPANYUSERS and I have assigned pentahoaduser user to these groups.

    Not able to understand where I am wrong.

    Please help me.

    Thanks

    Default

    <constructor-arg index="0" value="ldap://ent-edi-2003:389/CN=Users,DC=appnomiclan,DC=com"/>
    <property name="managerDn" value="ldap://ent-edi-2003:389/CN=pentahoaduser,CN=Users,DC=appnomiclan,DC=com"/>
    <property name="managerPassword" value="pepsi@12345"/>

    Well for starters, I used AD authentication but my login looks more like:

    <constructor-arg index="0" value="ldap://ent-edi-2003:389"/>
    <property name="managerDn" value="CN=pentahoaduser,OU=Users,DC=appnomiclan,DC=com"/>
    <property name="managerPassword" value="12345"/>

    To be honest though, I would find one of the open source ldap directory viewer and work it out from there, what you have is clearly wrong.

    Probably, thats why it doesn't work

    I normally share my AD LDAP configuration with everyone, but I'm on annual holiday, so I'm afraid you're on your own with that one.

    Default LDAP is having any Password encoding

    Hi,

    I am able to connect to the ldap server, but while authenticating its giving bad credentials, i feel there must some password encoding.

    If so please tell me how can pass the plain text password.

    Thanks
    Parveen

    There isn't any password encoding, just type it in plain text into the config file
