    Default Clone row

If I use clone row utility in PDI 3.2.0 how do can I use the counter of the clone row in a step?

I am basically creating 2 rows of output from 1 row of input based. I am not writing any javascript only using the PDI gui.

    (ie)
For the original row I want to perform database lookup 1 and assign valuex from lookup 1 to fieldX.

For the clone row I want to perform database lookup 2 and assign valuex from lookup 2 to fieldX.

    Thanks for your help.

Here's what I'm trying to do:

    Default clone row

My post below shows the transformation.

After the clone I do two different joins (lookup).
I was wondering if I can see the counter of the cloned row.
(ie) If I create 1 clone - then original row would be counter 1 and the cloned row would be counter 2.

Check the "Add clone flag" switch, and give a name to the "Clone flag field".
The flag field will be set to Y for the clones and N for the original.

By the way, what are you trying to do with the clone row? If what you want is to have two identical copies of your data, one for using in the first database join, the other for using in the second, you simply create two hops from the value mapper 3 to each database join. In the value mapper 3 step right-click and select data movement--> copy data...
