Thread: Help Getting Kitchen Running

    Default Help Getting Kitchen Running

From within Windows, I'm trying to run a job via Kitchen. According to the documentation, I should be running Kitchen.bat, which is what I'm trying to do.

When I try to run with what I think are the proper command line arguments, I get the following message:

    Unrecognized option: --Xmx512m
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Except for the path to the jvm, I haven't changed the Kitchen.bat file. The error message is based on the following lines from the bat file:

    set OPT=-Xmx512m -cp %CLASSPATH% -Djava.library.path=libswt\win32\ -DKETTLE_HOME="%KETTLE_HOME%" -DKETTLE_REPOSITORY="%KETTLE_REPOSITORY%" -DKETTLE_USER="%KETTLE_USER%" -DKETTLE_PASSWORD="%KETTLE_PASSWORD%" -DKETTLE_PLUGIN_PACKAGES="%KETTLE_PLUGIN_PACKAGES%"

    REM ***************
    REM ** Run... **
    REM ***************

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\pentaho/java/bin/java" -%OPT% org.pentaho.di.kitchen.Kitchen %_cmdline%
Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Default

    Think I figured this out.

    Found this thread: http://forums.pentaho.org/showthread.php?t=70146

The dash character was doubled because it was defined in the OPT variable.
