Thread: Connecting SQL Server using pentaho

Default Connecting SQL Server using pentaho

I want to connect to sql server using pentaho. But that server is in different domain. We have one sql server in one domain. This server is having master data.

Now we have some other sql server in different domain and pentaho is installed on it. I want to read master data (from other domain sql server) using pentaho transformation. Is it possible? If yes, what all configurations needs to be done?

    Please revert ASAP.

    Default SQL Server Authentication

We are using SQL Server accounts for all of our JDBC Database connections. There should not be any issue with being in different domains unless you are required to work with Windows Authentication. If Windows Authentication is mandatory you would probably need to use the domain\username instead of username alone. I would agree with the others that there should be no concerns outside of the above when crossing domains.
