Default Abort-Job Message - Can I use it for Mails?

I'm trying to send nice error email around and was wondering if I can use the abort entry's 'Message' somehow.
I know this message gets written into the log file but I'd love to use that message as subject of my error e-mails. Something like that.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

That's not in. You could use the same variable e.g.

    Good suggestion.
I was thinking about having a job that handles emailing errors around. So I would have Job A that does some actual work and can run in a number of error states.
Job B would call Job A and handle the emailing stuff.

With your idea I'm thinking about using:
Do work -> Set Variables (error.message = "I failed to do thy bidding!") -> Abort

So in the parent job I can use the error.message variable.

    I kind of like this.

One caveat ... you can't use a variable in the same transformation as where you set it

As I'm talking 'bout Jobs and their parent jobs I'd expect it to work
