    Default Dimension with multiple hierarchies

    Hi

    I created a cube using Schema Workbench 3.0.4 version. My cube has a dimension where i need to show 3 different hierarchies and each hierarchy may need to have different levels...

    I created that in the mondrian schema file. But when i view the cube via Pentaho User Console after publishing it to my pentaho server (Pentaho Community Edition v3.0 stable), i 'm seeing only the first hierarchy of the dimension...

    How to show the other hierarchy that the dimension has?

    Is it possible to do so?

    Please anyone help me...

    Thanks,
    Senthil.

    Are you tried to select Hierarchy using the OLAP Navigator Button. If you click one dimension you can change the default hierarchy. As far as I know only one hirerarchy at same time it's posible to explore.

    Default Dimension with multiple hierarchies

    Hello,

    Thanks for the replies...

    I hereby added my mondrian schema file...

    <Schema name="SalesTest">
    <Cube name="SalesTest" cache="true" enabled="true">
    <Table name="RV_DAILYSALES_REP" schema="TESTBI">
    </Table>
    <Dimension type="StandardDimension" foreignKey="AD_CLIENT_ID" name="Regions">
    <Hierarchy hasAll="true" allMemberName="All Regions" caption="Regions">
    <Table name="RV_DAILYSALES_REP" schema="TESTBI">
    </Table>
    <Level name="Regions" column="REGION" type="String" uniqueMembers="false" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never">
    </Level>
    </Hierarchy>
    <Hierarchy name="Provinces" hasAll="true" allMemberName="All Provinces" caption="Provinces">
    <Table name="RV_DAILYSALES_REP" schema="TESTBI" alias="">
    </Table>
    <Level name="Province" column="PROVINCE" type="String" uniqueMembers="false" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never">
    </Level>
    </Hierarchy>
    </Dimension>
    <Measure name="Qty" column="QTY" datatype="Numeric" formatString="#,###.00" aggregator="sum" visible="true">
    </Measure>
    </Cube>
    <Role name="Admin">
    <SchemaGrant access="all">
    <CubeGrant cube="SalesTest" access="all">
    </CubeGrant>
    </SchemaGrant>
    </Role>
    <Role name="Authenticated">
    <SchemaGrant access="all">
    <CubeGrant cube="SalesTest" access="all">
    </CubeGrant>
    </SchemaGrant>
    </Role>
    <Role name="ceo">
    <SchemaGrant access="all">
    <CubeGrant cube="SalesTest" access="all">
    </CubeGrant>
    </SchemaGrant>
    </Role>
    </Schema>
    Also, i'm seeing both the hierarchies via Open OLAP navigator, but unable to select both at once. why is this behavior?

    Thanks,
    Senthil.

    What do you mean by "select both at once"?
    Maybe you are trying to do something that can't be done...
    Or that can be done with some mdx, not with the navigator.

    I said in the other answer. As far as I know only one hirerarchy at same time it's posible to explore for each dimension.
