I was evaluating Pentaho about two years ago and now everything seems to be changed!

I think it used to be a download demo for new users of Open Source version, now I cannot find it. Is this still available?

yes, thats still there: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pen.../3.5.0-stable/

just download that one, extract and start
