    Default Building with CBF fails

    Hi,

I downloaded the latest version of CBF, Ant 1.7.1 and xmltask library and I'm using Java 1.5.0.9.

I setup CBF and when I try to run it, it copies the data into target-build but fails in the cbf build.xml at line 127, which points to the bi-plattform-build/dev-build.xml in line 52.

It fails with the error "\dev_build.xml:52: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in class file".

    Any idea?

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

Thanks for the feedback. It seems to be working now.

I thought I tried it once with 1.6 before but I guess one of my system variables (Windows Vista) was still set to 1.5.

Maybe you want to add it as a requirement for CBF in the Wiki?

    Hi,

I'm running into another issue with CBF, it doesn't copy the changed files into the solutions folder anymore. I have my folders setup as you can see in the attached screenshot.

Any idea what could be wrong? It builds the server and also copies everything what I have in project-client\patches\target-dist but not what I have in project-client\patches\project-client\solution

    Thanks,

    Benjamin

copy-init copies everything you have inside the patches dir - including project-client dir. Triple-check, cause I'm positive that works

    Hi,

I should of added the screenshot, here it is, it is the same structure as in the screenshot in the Pentaho Wiki.

    I'll test it again.

    Hi,

    ok I tried it again.
The patches are copied to project-client\solution, I thought they would be copied to target-dist\solutions, because thats where the script creates a solutions folder by default. So I guess I have to change the properties to point to this folder as my solution folder.
