    Default Informix Server Name

    Hi,

it looks like I finally have the time to turn my attention to the non-
variable Informix Server Name. I want to change it, so it can use a
variable. My problem right now is, where is the code for the dialog
(XUL?) for the Informix Database Connection?

    Bye

    Holger

I can see that "ClassicDatabaseDialog.java" is no longer being used
and I would guess that the XUL dialog I need to change is somewhere
already precompiled, but could somebody be so nice as to give me
further information on where I can find what I need?

    Hi All,

I have fixed this problem in the trunk of the pentaho-database
project, which is the project that holds all the plumbing for the
    Kettle database dialog (svn://source.pentaho.org/svnroot/pentaho-
    commons/pentaho-database/trunk/pentaho-database). I have also checked
in the latest pentaho-database-TRUNK-SNAPSHOT.jar into Kettle, to pick
up this change. If you want this change for a previous version, then
the file that changed is org.pentaho.ui.database.informix.native.xul
    (in the pentaho-database project).

    kindest regards,
    Gretchen

May I ask what the problem with the Informix DB Dialog was?
Just that the server name was not a textvar but only a text box?

I'll be using Kettle on Informix soon.... would be nice to know if something
    doesn't work :-)

Yes Paul, it was just that the dialog did not allow use of variables
for the server name, and was a coding oversight.
