Dear Kettle developer,

The last couple of days we've been discussing various ways to engage the Kettle community more in the development process.
Obviously, with the number of contributions we already receive we can't complain at all. However, we did put a number of items on a "Fun-bucket" list.
A fun-bucket item is an item that should be easy enough to do and only take a short amount of time. With more items surely on their way, here is a start at such a list with:

For some reason or another, these always fall off the TODO lists and so Pentaho wants to offer some kind of bonus to you for doing fun-bucket items.
In true open source community fashion, Doug proposed that you give suggestions as to what that bonus could be.
Ideas can range from gift certificates, T-shirts (I fixed a Kettle bug and all I got was a lousy T-Shirt), books and iPods to travel expenses getting paid for a hacking get-together.

Let us know what you think of such a system and if you might be interested in helping out with the Kettle 4.0 burndown list.
