    Default Roadmap 2010

    Hi,

Anybody know when the Pentaho Roadmap for 2010 will be published ?

The most recent one available appears to be the rear-view-mirror 2009 Q1 - accessible via the "roadmap" link on the public website.

Was just looking around for the same thing...

Did you manage to find anything yet?

err, there was a 2010 powerpoint roadmap available, on a forum post on here somewhere, although i can't find it now. There was quite a lot of EE only stuff on it!

This is quite scary. Almost all of the interesting features are going EE, like the crosstab functionality.

@haubuchon: The Crosstabb-processing is opensource and remains opensource. The roadmap is carefully worded (sales people! ) - look closer and you see that it only talks about the UI.

The current plan looks like this:
    * Crosstab processing and all the engine capabilities needed related to crosstabs will be 100% opensource. No hold backs.
    * There will be a basic UI to define crosstabs in the community-edition of the report-designer. So at no point there will be a need to go into "edit XML mode" or such nonsense. The UI will be functionally complete allowing you to define each and every property of the crosstab system.
    * A "bells-and-whistles" UI to define crosstabs will be created for the enterprise-edition. Its goal is to be so easy to use that thing, that you could drink a whole keg of Guinness and still be able to create a crosstab-report without problems.
