Thread: Error with IE7

    Default Error with IE7

    Hi,
    I've a problem when I try login on PUC.(IE crash) (view image)
    It work with firefox and IE8. Is this a known bug?

    Server Pentaho: Debian
    Client: Windows XP
    OS: French
    platform: 3.5.2GA

    Following this.

    Yes. Even It happened with me as well. As far the solution is concerned It automatically stopped happening when I cleared the IE's cache. it was illogical but worked with me.

    Wow.. our IS department just started upgrading all of our enterprise clients to IE 7 and now they are getting the same error. So you say clearing the Cache solves it? I'll give it a try and report back here.

    Err, not to be nosey, but why don't you just jump to IE8? (it has IE7 compatibility fyi). It's been out for a year now.

    It’s probably because it takes our IT department 1+ years to test compatibility. B/t/w... I personally have IE8 on my workstation and I have not had any problems. So I am going to conclude this is only an IE7 issue. That being said, I highly recommend Firefox to anyone considering Pentaho since it is friendly with CDF.

    Clearing the Cache did not solve the problem. What is strange is that if I log on as Admin, it works with all subsequent log on's being successful. As soon as I clear the cache and try logging on as a non admin user, it crashes. This is only on IE7.
