Default Unable to connect Oracle 11g R2

    Hi all,

I have no problem connecting to Oracle 9i and 10g.

I receive error "ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor" when using Oracle Native (JDBC) to connect to a Oracle 11g R2 db

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Searching the web, I found some posts saying that this is not an application specific error, but actually an oracle config problem.

Try the following to find out which services you're running:

    c:\> lsnrctl services

    I found this hint here.

    Cheers,
