    Default Execute JasperReports in Pentaho 3.5.2

    I tried to execute a parametrized JasperReport 3.7.2 in Pentaho 3.5.2 (.jrxml attached).
    1) First of all I updated the Jasper library in 'webapps\pentaho\Web-inf\lib'
    jasperreports-2.0.5.jar --> jasperreports-3.7.2
    2) I also updated the iText library:
    itext-1.5.2.jar --> iText-2.1.7.jar
    3) With Design Studio I developed a .xaction (.xaction attached)
    The report was executed successfully in the Penthao 3.5.2 in the sense that I obtained the .PDF
    I was not prompted for the parameter list, the report executed immediately . Where is the mistake?

    Ciao Alessandro,

    you don't have any parameter page because that part is missing in your action. You've to add a filter component before the jasperreport component, connect it to the flow of your action and pass the received parameters as inputs of your jasperreport component.

    Your report was executed successfully and immediately because you set the parameter's value in the definition of your action.

    But why don't you use the standard report writer where the report parameters are automatically generated and you save a lot of effort for that?
