Default Moving from Hypersonic to MySQL

    Hi Guys,
As the title explains I want to move the hypersonic DB to MySQL, after trying many hours to do it and going through many articles, I could not get it correctly. I was able to start the TomCat as a service, but I'm running hypersonic on my desktop since with that B.I server wont work.

Can anybody give me a link where this it has being explained or if can be explained here, I would be really grateful.

    Thanks
    Dush

The best documentation you can get is here:

FYI Prashant's directions were extremely helpful - but in my case I did have to make a few further modifications to configuration to get everything working. Part of my situation was different as the MySQL server resided on a different host...

It is always good to get input on what can be added to the guide therefore expanding it for different configurations (like yours) for future users.

If you don't mind emailing me about your configuration and the changes you needed to do I would be more than happy to add it to the guide.

How did you go with the setup?

    Hey Guys,

    I'm back.

first of all.. A BIG THANK YOU, for the documentation. I'm done with the configurations. But we got good news and bad news.

Good news is i could manage the configurations and transferring smoothly and get the server run as a service.

Bad news is. I ported a installation, which I was working on a solution already, which was located in the pentaho-solutions folder. I only had the solution that I was working in it and I removed the sample solutions from the view.

now the problem is. my solution wont load in the left side file view. it's just keep saying "Loading" but doesn't seem like anything happening.

I am sure I'm missing something here... where could be the issue ?

    Edit::
I just used FireBug to get any clues and it showed me this

    Hi Prashant -

I will try to get you the information. I was poking around a bit and unsure of my outcome so I failed to log additional changes. I should be able to diff my files against a fresh install and take a look... Need to find spare time. It seems to have been working as expected, though I have done little more than generate a few simple reports.

    Regards,
    Jeremy

    Hi,

I got my problem sorted.. it was a permission problem. This is due to the permission I've already added when I was running with the console.

I implemented a fresh copy of the server and deployed files back in.

    it worked..!!

    Thanks guys for the help.
