Post Stable Builds of BI Server and suite clients 3.6.0 and PRD 3.6.1 available

Stable Builds of BI Server and suite clients 3.6.0 and PRD 3.6.1 have been published on SourceForge and are available for download.

Please try them out, report bugs and give feedback.

Stable builds represent the final stage of development for a Community Edition (CE) release. The term stable refers to a version of software that has been through enough community testing to reasonably assume there are no showstopper problems, or at least that any problems are known and documented. If you are going to put a CE release into production, you will want to use a stable build.

CE builds are not supported by Pentaho. If you require support or enterprise features, Pentaho Enterprise Edition (EE) may be the right chioce for you. EE evaluation software may be downloaded from http://www.pentaho.com/download. Pentaho Enterprise Editions extend Pentaho's open source business intelligence (BI) capabilities with additional software and support designed to save your organization time and resources.

biserver-manual-ce-3.6.0-stable.zip This is the files for manual deployment - i suspect you dont need this yet.
biserver-ce-3.6.0-stable.tar.gz This is the unix version of the full server
biserver-ce-3.6.0-stable.zip this is the windows version of the full server.
biserver-ce-3.6.0-stable-javadoc.zip Java docs - not much use! This is not documentation, it's the auto generated gumph from the code.
bi-platform-3.6.0-stable-sources.zip Source code - given your question i'd suggest you dont need this yet!

    Thanks for this info.
But could you elaborate more on the difference between biserver-ce-3.6.0-stable.zip and biserver-manual-ce-3.6.0-stable.zip. I hardly found a document or guide to tell the difference and secondly, I want to practise a deployment of pentaho without the sampledata, steel-wheels or bi-developer solutions.
Am I wrong to think that biserver-manual-ce-3.6.0-stable.zip is the way to go?

biserver-manual doesn't come with a tomcat web server, it is the .WAR file that you deploy to your own J2EE server. It would be the one to deploy if you wanted total control over the deployment.
