    Default Use date functions

    Hi all.

I want to know the startJob/Transformation time by using kettle function getJobStartDate() and getStartDate()...but writing this code:

_step_.getTrans().getStartDate(), date result is Mon Jan 01 00:00:00 CET 1900....

    Can someone help me??

    Hi Valentino,

you seem to be coding up the hell out of a visual tool
Would it not work for you to use the get System Info step and getting the start time of a job and transformation from there?

    Cheers

    Hi Slawo

I don't know, because I've to write these informations for many transformations/job in the same ETL...And if I can get it from JS maybe it's better...

    Hi Valentino,

you are calling the correct functions. However, they only work reliably if you have job and transformation logging enabled. You know, logging to tables
