    Default Change BI Port in Administration Console.

    Hello all,

    This is my first post here. Many thanks for the help your questions and answers have provided me to start working with Pentaho.

    Now I have an issue that I haven´t found in any post (may be I have not explored enough )

    I have started BI in a different port than the default 8080 (editing the biserver-ce/tomcat/conf/server.xml file)

    When I start the administration console it tryes to connect to //localhost:8080 and gives a 404 error and an error log:
    "http://localhost:8080/pentaho/ping/alive.gif?requestedMimeType=text%2Fxml" failed. Reason for failure: HTTP/1.1 404 not found".

    Where can I change the BI port in the Adminnistration console configuration? . I haven´t found any configuration file with the port in it.

    I believe you need to change the fully-qualified-server-url context param in tomcat/webapps/pentaho/WEB-INF/web.xml. The easiest way to run admin console in on the same machine as the server. (Running it on another machine requires more config.)
